You will be required to complete and sign a 'Declaration of Fitness to Parachute' before training commences this will be provided when we confirm your booking. The following is a guide only and an up to date copy of the declarations can be downloaded below.
F115 - Student Tandem Declaration of Fitness - For all Tandem Students
F114a - Solo Student Delaration of Fitness - For AFF and Static Line Courses
F114 - Declaration of Fitness to Parachute - For Experienced Skydivers Only
The minimum age for sport parachuting is 16 years. For those less than 18 years of age a separate signed letter of consent from a Parent or Guardian will be required before training commences.
If you are 40 years of age or over, or you have suffered from any of the following, you must obtain written approval from your Doctor on the 'Declaration of Fitness to Parachute' form before commencing training:
Previous fractures, back strain, arthritis and severe joint sprains. Chronic bronchitis. Asthma. Rheumatic fever. Pneumothorax. Liver or kidney disease. Thyroid, adrenal or other glandular disorder. Chronic ear or sinus disease. Any condition which requires the regular use of drugs. Anaemia. Recent blood donation.
N.B: Some applicants who are excluded using the above criteria may still be fit to make a Tandem Skydive - contact London Parachute Schools for details.
No person of 55 years or over will normally be accepted for novice parachute training, other than for Tandem Skydives, where high ages may be acceptable.
You will normally not be allowed to undertake parachute training if you have ever suffered from any of the following medical conditions without certification from your doctor, and in some casesunless you and your Doctor have obtained the prior approval of the Medical Advisor to the British Parachute Association (who may be contacted via the address on the 'Declaration of Fitness' form): Epilepsy, fits, severe head injury, recurrent blackouts or giddiness, disease of the brain or nervous system, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, recurrent weakness or dislocation of any limb, diabetes, mental illness, drug or alcohol addiction.
Important: Weight Limitations
Your weight (fully clothed) is a consideration when selecting your course. Please note the maximum weights shown for each course. Also, you should not be significantly overweight for your height. Be sure to read the medical/fitness notes provided with the Application.

Your weight will be checked on the day of your course. If in doubt, please telephone us on 0800 009 3014 to discuss your needs before booking your course. Some centres have more stringent weight restrictions and you will be advised should you wish to book a descent at one of those centres.
