London Parachute School (LPS) - TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR EXPERIENCES - UK Skydive ( a trading name of Skydive Centre Limited (“UK Skydive”)

Vouchers issued by UK Skydive entitle the holder to choose, up to the value stated on them, one of a range of experiences supplied by UK Skydive. Experience vouchers do not have a value stated on them and entitle the holder to the experience stated on them. All UK Skydive Vouchers (“Vouchers”) carry a unique name which must be quoted when dealing with UK Skydive and its experience operators. Vouchers must be kept safely and securely and should be taken on the day of the experience and surrendered to the operator or alternatively sent to the operator if requested to secure the booking. We recommend sending them by secure mail as they are not replaceable if lost. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss you may incur as a result of theft, impersonation or identity fraud.


The placing of an order constitutes your acceptance of UK Skydive's Terms & Conditions of trading but does not constitute the creation of a contract. UK Skydive reserves the right to decline to process an order for any reason whatsoever. The contract is between you and UK Skydive, once we have processed your order and received payment. For the protection of our customers and to ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. If an order cannot be fulfilled for any reason, UK Skydive will promptly refund all monies. Duplicate orders are sometimes inadvertently placed or despatched. We ask that you return any duplicates immediately or contact us for further instructions. Should both vouchers be used, we will be entitled to claim payment for the costs incurred.

International/overseas orders

All prices shown on UK Skydive websites are in GBP and all transactions are conducted in GBP. If ordering from overseas or from a foreign currency account you may be charged fees by your bank to process the transaction. These fees are in addition to any prices on our website and are beyond our control.

Experience descriptions, formats and durations

Experience descriptions, format and timings given on UK Skydive websites and in any other literature are only intended to present a general idea of the experience, and shall not be considered binding. In particular, photographs are for illustrative purposes only and do not form part of any contract between you and UK Skydive. As UK Skydive offers experiences at a wide number of venues, details such as session lengths, itineraries, equipment used and numbers of participants may vary from location to location. Most experiences will be “open” days meaning that other members of the public will be taking part too. This could mean taking your turn with other members of the public. If delays, curtailments and breakdowns are not within UK Skydive's control, we cannot be held liable if these should occur. Please note that we reserve the right to alter any part of the experience where such an alteration has been imposed by the operator. We cannot be held responsible for descriptions by or on any third party or agent sites. Experiences may occasionally be withdrawn for reasons outside of our control, and UK Skydive cannot be held liable for any costs incurred as a result of this. Should this occur, you or your recipient will be advised and offered the opportunity to exchange your voucher for one with the same face value. If alternatives are available, no refunds can be offered.


The recipient is free to book their preferred date within the Voucher validity period. Experiences are subject to availability and, in some cases, may be subject to weather conditions (if your experience is weather dependent we advise telephoning the centre before you set out to confirm that the event will take place). To avoid disappointment we recommend that customers book well in advance, at least 6-8 weeks for the majority of experiences. During peak periods it may be necessary to allow a longer notice period although some operators may occasionally be able to fit in a booking at short notice. We recommend booking as early as possible as you must have undertaken your experience before the expiry date printed on the front of your Voucher. We strongly advise that you do not make any travel, accommodation or other arrangements until you have received confirmation of your booking from the experience operator. Once a date has been booked with a supplier your Voucher will be deemed to be used at that point.


Most experiences are subject to restrictions. These could include (but are not limited to) age, height, weight, physical and medical restrictions, and may vary from centre to centre so please check before making your booking. Details of these restrictions are available on our website and contained in your pack. It is your responsibility to ensure that you choose an experience appropriate for the intended recipient and it is the responsibility of the recipient to double check that the restrictions are not prohibitive. If you are unsure of the suitability please telephone our Experience Helpline and we will be happy to advise you.


Spectators are usually welcome but occasionally a centre may make a small charge to cover insurance and/or refreshments. Some venues may have restrictions on spectators due to safety regulations. Participants are advised to check with the centre when booking.

Prices & locations

We reserve the right to vary the prices of the experiences which we offer. UK Skydive’s current experience prices may differ from the value of your face value voucher. Locations are correct at the time of going to press but may change or be withdrawn for reasons beyond our control. For overseas experiences prices may fluctuate with exchange rates.


Prices shown include V.A.T when and where applicable.


UK Skydive cannot be held responsible for any goods damaged in the post or any postal delays. Security Vouchers are valuable documents and cannot be replaced if they are lost, damaged or stolen and are invalid if altered or tampered with. UK Skydive accept no liability in these circumstances.


The Voucher validity period is 12 months from date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Experiences must be booked and undertaken prior to the expiry date, otherwise the Voucher will be deemed to be invalid and no liability will be accepted by UK Skydive.


The validity period of most Vouchers may be extended once only at UK Skydive's absolute discretion for a period of 6 months upon payment of a £60 administration fee. This fee, along with the original Voucher, must be returned to UK Skydive for an extension to be processed. If the price of your chosen experience has increased, you will have to pay the difference between the new price and your Voucher. Please note that expired Vouchers cannot be extended under any circumstances.


Experience vouchers cannot be exchanged. A face value voucher (‘FVV’) may be exchanged once for another FVV without incurring a fee, up to the value stated on it and subject to the restrictions below. An administration fee of £20 will be charged for each subsequent exchange. If your chosen experience costs more than the value of your original FVV, you must pay the difference and the value of your FVV will be increased. If your chosen experience is cheaper, we will hold the difference as a credit against another experience. In this case the credit holds the same expiry date as the original FVV. If you wish to combine or merge FVVs, as part of the exchange process, then this can be arranged subject to the following conditions; you can merge two or more FVVs for an administration fee of £20; if they have different expiry dates then the earlier expiry date is carried forward onto the replacement FVV, not the later date; only FVVs purchased from the same website may be merged together; you may not merge any FVVs previously merged or exchanged. FVVs cannot be exchanged for multi-choice vouchers, promotional products (a promotional product refers to a voucher which was sold at a discounted price or as part of a special offer, whether or not this is stated on the voucher), our VIP range or tangible gifts.


A full refund is available, as long as your Voucher is returned to us within 7 working days of receipt, if bought directly from UK Skydive. A refund can only be made to the purchaser and if payment was originally made by credit/debit card the refund will be made to the same card. A refund cannot be given once a booking has been made or for extended, expired or exchanged Vouchers. Refunds are not given for mailing, fulfilment and express carriage charges or personalised items. A Voucher purchased through a retailer or other reseller will be subject to that retailer’s own refund policy and enquiries must be made directly to them: we cannot refund items purchased from a retailer or other resellers. All transactions are in GBP. UK Skydive is not liable for any fees imposed by your bank, building society or any other third party organisation as a result of placing an order from overseas. Fluctuations in exchange rates may mean that you receive a differing amount back from the original paid total once conversion from GBP to required currency has taken place. UK Skydive will not reimburse losses arising from such fees or conversions and will refund only the amount received in GBP at time of order.


The cost of returning your Voucher for exchange or refund will not be borne by UK Skydive and we strongly recommend that a secure delivery service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery (with postal insurance as appropriate) is used as Vouchers cannot be exchanged or refunded until they are received by us.

Experience operators

UK Skydive has contracted agreements with its operators regarding their standard of performance and, where appropriate, operators are registered with their relevant controlling or regulatory bodies. Once a booking has been made with an experience operator the participant is also bound by the Terms and Conditions of that operator. By purchasing or redeeming an UK Skydive Voucher you acknowledge that experiences are dependent on certain factors beyond the control of UK Skydive and agree that UK Skydive is not liable for the cancellation, postponement or alteration of any experience for reasons beyond its reasonable control (including but not limited to weather-related reasons, mechanical failure, location changes or otherwise). If mechanical breakdown should occur you should expect reasonable substitutions without notice. Please note that experiences and other products are subject to change without notice. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Problems on the day

We welcome your feedback on all of our experiences. If you encounter a problem on the day, please immediately bring it to the attention of the host or experience operator at the venue so that they have a chance to put matters right. If you have attempted resolution but the problem was not resolved on the day, please write to us within a week of your experience (providing your Voucher serial number, participant’s name and venue details, including who you spoke to on the day) and we will be happy to take the matter up with the operator on your behalf. Please note that the operator will have the opportunity to investigate and respond.

Cancellation by experience operators

If an experience is cancelled by the operator either before or on the day of the event due to circumstances beyond their control, the operator will arrange to re-book the participant at a mutually agreed time on our behalf. UK Skydive cannot be held liable for any costs including (but not limited to) travel expenses or pre-booked accommodation costs incurred by the participant in the event of a cancellation and UK Skydive's total liability for any claim in connection with an UK Skydive experience shall be limited to the price paid for the experience.

Cancellation by participants

Once you make a booking with an experience operator you are bound by their terms and conditions. Make sure you understand their rules regarding changing or cancelling a booking (particularly at short notice) as a refund will not be offered in the case of infringement of these rules. UK Skydive's Cancellation Indemnity policy may provide a replacement Voucher in the event of cancellation by the participant owing to circumstances beyond their control.

Liability cover

All UK and Eire experience operators contract with us to indemnify participating Voucher holders against damage to equipment they use, and against liabilities to third parties, subject to limits and compliance with their rules, terms and conditions, which may vary between operators. Some experience operators may offer additional indemnities at an extra cost. Such indemnities are entirely optional and you are under no obligation to purchase them, as your entitlement to undertake the experience will not be affected if you choose not to accept an additional indemnity. Any additional indemnities purchased from an experience operator will be governed by that operator’s terms and conditions and do not form any part of your contract with UK Skydive.

Competition prizes, special offers and promotional offers

These may have restrictions including (but not limited to) dates and times of use, validity periods and experience range or content so please be sure to check these before purchasing and telephone our Experience Helpline if you are in any doubt. Competition Prizes, Special Offers and Promotional Offers cannot be refunded or extended unless otherwise specified. (A promotional product refers to a voucher which was sold at a discounted price or as part of a special offer, whether or not this is stated on the voucher). Discount codes & entitlements UK Skydive reserves the right to exclude any product or experience from discount schemes. Only one discount code may be used per order. Discounts apply to new orders only and cannot be used against exchanges, extensions, money on account, delivery and fulfilment charges or any other facility provided by UK Skydive. You may be required to provide evidence of your entitlement to any discount.

Third parties and re-sale

A person who is not named on the face of the Voucher or recorded as the purchaser by UK Skydive has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms and conditions of booking. A Voucher which has been re-sold (for example, through internet auction sites or by any other means) without our prior consent will be considered invalid. Neither UK Skydive nor any of its experience operators will be under any obligation to provide any service.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, and are governed by and in accordance with English law. The purchaser of a Voucher and/or the participant in an experience agrees to the jurisdiction of the English courts. All the clauses and sub clauses in UK Skydive’s terms and conditions are independent of each other. If one clause or sub clause is invalid or unenforceable, this will not affect any other clause or sub clause. These terms & conditions are subject to change. The details listed above are the terms and conditions applied to UK Skydive Vouchers and experiences. Your statutory rights are not affected. Dated: 26 September 2011. These supersede all previous terms and conditions.

Bookings for specific dates may be cancelled 14 days prior to the date of booking subject to a £90.00 cancellation fee.

Bookings may be transferred into another persons name subject to a £20.00 transfer fee.

The London Parachute School accepts no responsibility for accidents or injuries incurred whilst training or skydiving.

Failure to attend on a pre booked date without notification will invalidate the voucher and 100% of the balance will be due.

All confirmations must be made within 9 calender months of initial booking placement, failure to make contact within this time may prevent the jump being taken on your required date and a voucher extension being required

A booking once made is final - Deposits are non refundable

Notification of failure to attend must be made a minimum of 5 working days prior to the booked date or a 100% fee balance will apply due for any circumstance

If you arrive without your paperwork in order, ie: over the weight limit or medical not stamped - you will not be allowed to jump and 100% of the balance will be due for any circumstance

Fuel surcharges may be applied if aviation fuel costs increase more than 5% from time of booking

If Booking as a group and some group members do not arrive then the standard non group price will be charged

There is a maximum weight limit for skydiving which may vary from centre to centre. Please check before choosing the centre where you wish to jump.

Charity Skydiving

LPS is engaged by its charity partners (Charities and each a Charity) as experts in the field of parachute descents. If you are undertaking an experience in aid of a Charity, you acknowledge and agree that: (i) neither the Charities nor their agents or contractors (Charity Parties and each a Charity Party) shall be liable for: A. any injury or accident causing loss or damage to you or any third party where this is sustained as a result of your participation in the experience or B. any loss or damage sustained by you as a result of either the cancellation of the experience for any reason, any changes made to the experience for safety or any other reasons or circumstances beyond the Charity Parties’ reasonable control; and (ii) if a Charity specifies a minimum sponsorship amount that you must raise and you fail to meet the target then you will make up the remaining balance out of your own funds. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude the liability of any of the Charity Parties in respect of death or personal injury sustained as a direct result of any Charity Party’s deliberate act or omission, negligence, breach of statutory duty or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Indoor Skydiving

Please don't miss your flight. All our flights are manifested and we are not able to accommodate late arrivals. Please ensure you are at the tunnel at least 60 minutes before your flight time.

Cancellation, reschedule and no-show policy

Standard bookings are made with a fixed flight date and report time. If you know you will not be able to make your flights, you may reschedule as follows: For standard bookings with more than 48 hours’ notice, you may reschedule your flights. A charge of £6 per experience will apply. For standard bookings with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will not be able to reschedule your flights. For bookings of one hour or more (of actual tunnel time) a minimum of 96 hours’ notice (4 days) must be given in order to reschedule your flights. A minimum charge of £10 will apply. In the event we do reschedule your flights within the 48 hours’ notice period, a reschedule fee of £15 per experience will apply. If you fail to arrive for your flights or fail to reschedule your flights within the times above, your booking will no longer be valid.

Late arrivals

We urge you to treat a trip to us as you would catching a flight. If you are late we are rarely able to reschedule your flights. This is because we run a manifest that is designed to accommodate a mixture of pre-booked, walk-up, repeat and skydiver bookings.

We know this leads to disappointment which is why we urge you to arrive in plenty of time. Whether you are flying in Basingstoke, Manchester or Milton Keynes, there is plenty to do ahead of flying. Book in early and then use the local facilities to relax before flying.

In Basingstoke, Manchester and Milton Keynes, you can enjoy a tea or a coffee in any one of a number of coffee shops, cafes and restaurants, all on our doorstep. We promise you won’t be bored so an early arrival is strongly advised. PLEASE do not forget that the traffic can be really heavy at busy shopping times, allow plenty of time especially when using motorways and for parking.

Voucher policy

All indoor vouchers are issued with an expiry date and all flights must be taken on or before that date. It is not possible to make your booking before the expiry date and to fly after the expiry date.

You must bring your voucher(s) to fly at the tunnel with you on the day, without them you will be unable to fly without further payment.

Refund policy

Indoor experiences we do not offer refunds for any reason. However, if for some reason you know you will be unable to take the flights, you can transfer vouchers or flights to another person. You do need to notify us of name changes before arrival.

If We cancel

We reserves the right to cancel flights at short notice. You can be assured that this would only happen in the event of failure, unscheduled repairs, maintenance or anything outside of our control. In the event that we do cancel your booking, it will be rescheduled at the next available time to suit you within the terms of the type of booking (IE Anytime, Off-peak or a promotion).
